School doesn’t end when the dismissal bell rings.
It’s 5:00 PM, and our teachers are still here—working together to make sure our scholars don’t just cover standards, but actually master them.
Our teachers are unpacking exactly what scholars need to know, understand, and be able to demonstrate, and planning their teaching around that work.
This is the part of education families don’t always get to see.
The late afternoons.
The collaboration.
The relentless focus on whether our scholars are actually learning.
This is what we mean when we say we prepare scholars for what’s next.
And honestly? This is one of the things that makes Chicago Collegiate different.
We’re not interested in doing school to kids. We’re building the kind of practices that makes it possible for every scholar to be known, challenged, and prepared.
Because our scholars deserve teachers who keep asking:
“What do they need to know—and how do we know they know it?”
That work happens long after 3 PM. ❤️🏾
