Update - we and our friends at 4:30am on the Go have to reschedule coffee on September 1st.

Never fear! We are already deciding a new date in September to make sure we can all get our coffee fix while supporting us and River Source Family Center. Thank you for your patience and understanding; stay tuned to hear when they'll be back!

If you have seen us out and about at community events, you may have noticed we're asking people to share what makes them feel safe. This is part of our project with Embrace to better understand how we can better meet the needs of our communities. We will be sharing results from this survey later this year!

Thank you for inviting Family Support Center to participate in this essential discussion!

Before anyone decides what a community needs, they have to ask the community.

This morning, we brought together professionals from across Eau Claire County to talk about overdose prevention.

Their perspectives built on recent conversations we’ve held with other people with lived experience, including those who are currently incarcerated.

Our job in work like this is not to walk into the room with the answer already written.

It is to ask better questions, listen carefully, notice where perspectives overlap, and carry what we learn back to the people making decisions.

There is a lot of expertise in professional titles and positions.

There is also a lot of expertise in what people experience every day.

Good planning needs both.💚
