Congratulations to Chief Magistrate Lynn McLaughlin-Murray on receiving the Franklin A. Polk Public Servant Merit Award

For nearly four decades, Chief Magistrate Murray has said yes to opportunities, tackled tough problems and found ways to make her community better. From creating Cuyahoga County’s first Veterans Treatment Court to leading the magistrates at Cleveland Municipal Court, her career is a testament to what thoughtful, dedicated public service can accomplish.

And while the award recognizes her many professional accomplishments, we also celebrate the person behind them: a mentor, problem-solver and devoted public servant. Add in an impressive love of Excel spreadsheets, and you have a one-of-a-kind recipe for success.

We are proud to celebrate Chief Magistrate Murray, her decades of service and the lasting impact she continues to make.

This summer, we've been fortunate to have talented interns across multiple departments at the Cleveland Municipal Court, getting an up-close look at the inner workings of the justice system. From day one, they've been on a trajectory of learning, asking thoughtful questions and making meaningful contributions along the way.

We hope this experience has helped launch new ideas, build valuable skills and inspire future careers dedicated to serving our community.

We’re back for another !

A big thank-you to our neighbors across the street for welcoming our Cleveland Municipal Court interns for a tour and the opportunity to observe cases in session.

The experience gave our interns a firsthand look at the judicial process, and they came away with a deeper understanding of the justice system. We appreciate the warm welcome and the chance to learn inside such beautiful courtrooms.
