6. WE believe it is our responsibility to care for and preserve our environment while recognizing the necessary balance with economic development and job growth.

7. WE support the preservation and enhancement of Clinton’s historical structures and areas in recognition of their contribution to our unique character.

8. WE support Clinton’s Plan of Conservation and Development and encourage the of approval of regulations and related efforts to move the town forward while preserving that which makes us unique.

We were proud to see Clinton Town Council Chair, Hank Teskey Hank Teskey represent our community at the Vista Life Innovations graduation this past Friday, where he shared heartfelt remarks and presented a citation from the Town of Clinton recognizing the graduates and their accomplishments. 🎓

Fellow Clinton DTC member and State Representative candidate Cinzia Lettieri Cinzia Lettieri was also in attendance to celebrate this incredible group of graduates and show her support for Vista’s students, families, educators, and programs.

Congratulations to all of the graduates on this wonderful milestone! We’re proud to celebrate you and all that you have accomplished. 💙🎓

Stop by the Clinton DTC tent on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, August 11, at Andrews Memorial Town Hall. Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Cast your ballot and then treat yourself while helping us raise funds for the important elections ahead this November.

While you’re there, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Democratic Primary Election – August 11, 2026 🗳️

Connecticut Democrats will choose their nominee for governor on Tuesday, August 11.

The candidates are:
• Governor Ned Lamont
• State Representative Josh Elliott

We encourage everyone to learn more about the candidates before casting a ballot.

Connecticut has a closed primary, which means only registered Democrats may vote. Unaffiliated voters may enroll as Democrats until 12:00 p.m. on August 10 to be eligible to participate.

📍Voting Place: Andrews Memorial Town Hall

Early voting runs from August 3 through August 9.
Voting hours:
• August 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• August 4 and 6: 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.

On Primary Day, August 11, polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

📚 CEA’s 2026 Legislative Report Card is out.

The Connecticut Education Association (CEA) evaluates legislators based on their voting records, advocacy, and overall support for teachers and public education.

For legislators representing our area:
🔹 State Senator Norm Needleman — 85.9%
🔹 State Representative Chris Aniskovich — 65.4%

A score only tells part of the story. We encourage everyone—educators, parents, and community members—to look at the individual votes behind the scores and see where your legislators stood on the issues that impact our schools, teachers, and students. Prior years’ scores and averages can also be found through the link as well.

A big shoutout to our own Tom Schultz and the Clinton Human Rights Committee for helping bring these thoughtful and engaging conversations to Clinton. 👏
