For the first Lab of the semester, we had the privilege of recognizing the awards and achievements our MSIVs earned this summer at CST. We also swore in some of our MS2s and MS3s and conducted our Change of Command ceremony. To finish out the day, our MS1-MS3s participated in team-bonding activities to start the semester strong!

🌟 Commissioning Cadet of the Week: Tyler Emery 🌟
Join us in celebrating Cadet Tyler Emery as he commissions from the Mountain Ranger Battalion! 🇺🇸
📍 The Journey:
Born in Irvine, California, Tyler’s military journey began in February 2014 when he enlisted in the United States Army as an Infantryman (11B). After a distinguished enlisted career, his leadership and potential were recognized when he was selected for the Army’s highly competitive Green to Gold Active-Duty Option (ADO) program. 🌏
⚔️ Experience & Service:
Cadet Emery brings a wealth of elite operational experience to the officer corps. He served as a rifleman and squad leader with the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, deploying to Kuwait in 2015. A graduate of Ranger School, he earned the coveted Ranger Tab and competed in the 34th David E. Grange Jr. Best Ranger Competition. His service continued with the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, including a deployment to Afghanistan as a Squad Leader. Tyler was later selected to establish the 4ID Pre-Ranger Program and served as an Operations Advisor in the 4th SFAB, deploying twice to North Macedonia to bolster NATO capabilities. 🛡️
📚 Academic Excellence:
Throughout his transition from the NCO ranks to the officer corps, Tyler has maintained a standard of excellence. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and was recognized as a Distinguished Military Graduate, proving his dedication to both his studies and his profession. 🎓
🥾 The Next Chapter:
Cadet Emery will commission as a Finance Officer! Following graduation, he will attend the Finance Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, before reporting to his first duty station as an officer at Fort Hood, Texas. He is joined on this journey by his wife, Alissa, and their three children, Amelia, Nash, and Dax. 📋
Congratulations, Tyler! We are incredibly proud of your service and the expert leadership you bring to the Army. We look forward to the impact you will make as a Finance Officer! 🎖️
