Ohio is investing more than $1 million to help communities cut chloride pollution from road salt while keeping roads safe.

Ohio EPA's recent grants will fund 16 projects, helping municipalities upgrade equipment and improve salt storage to protect water quality.

Ohio is continuing its efforts to curb harmful algal blooms. Join the Ohio Lake Erie Commission, state partners, and Ohio Sea Grantfor an in‑person Domestic Action Plan Workshop on Thursday, Sept. 3 in Toledo.

Attendees will hear updates on agricultural nutrient source reductions and water management practices, explore targeted strategies and constructed projects within the H2Ohio wetland initiatives, learn about the new U.S. Domestic Action Plan, and review community-based approaches to improving water quality.

Making a Difference! 💧

We're thrilled to share that the H2Ohio Healthy Rivers Livery Grant is in full swing, promoting clean water and healthy rivers across Ohio! This amazing program supports livery owners in removing trash and tackling long-standing cleanup needs.

Liveries host volunteer groups to clean local waterways. One cleanup event organized by the Canal Fulton Canoe Livery removed tires and other debris from the Tuscarawas River.

We have 12 liveries enrolled for the coming summer. Each grant offers up to $10,000 to clean up Ohio’s rivers and streams.

Through the Ohio Department of Agriculture, farmers are partnering with Indigo Ag for additional conservation opportunities! Thanks to Governor DeWine's H2Ohio initiative, Ohio continues to be a leader in conservation.

Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) Director Brian Baldridge and Indigo Ag announced a new public-private partnership that will provide additional financial incentives to Ohio farmers implementing conservation practices through H2Ohio, Governor Mike DeWine’s statewide water quality initiative.
