The Pantry is serving more neighbors than ever, and we need help sharing our story in the community.

Outreach Volunteers represent the Pantry at farmers' markets, school events, partner meetings, and other community events. We are looking for volunteers who are:

Warm and outgoing

Comfortable starting conversations and meeting new people

Excited to share the Pantry’s mission
Dependable and willing to learn

Most opportunities take place on evenings and weekends and may require transporting materials and setting up a small table. We will provide the information and materials. You bring the enthusiasm!

Sound like you? Send Kayla an email at [email protected] or send us a DM.

August is National Make-A-Will Month, a great time to think about the legacy you want to leave. By including the Worthington Resource Pantry in your estate plans, you can help ensure that future generations of neighbors always have a place to turn for food, support, and hope.

A planned gift of any size reflects your commitment to a community where nobody goes hungry. If you've already included the Pantry in your plans, thank you. Your generosity will make a lasting impact. If you're creating or updating your will this month, we hope you'll consider making the Pantry part of your legacy.

Together, we can continue welcoming neighbors and nourishing our community for years to come.

If you would like to discuss planned giving, please reach out to Madison Maves, our Director of Development.

We were excited to celebrate the Grand Reopening of our Kroger in Worthington on Friday! This team helps make sure our neighbors are fed by preparing A LOT of food to donate each week. We were also honored to receive a $2,500 donation that will help keep our shelves stocked.

Congrats on the beautiful new store, and thank you for all you do for our neighbors!

Olivia has been volunteering with the Pantry for a little over a year, and in that time, she has helped with nearly every job she can!

You will most often find Olivia packing home deliveries for neighbors who aren’t able to make it to the Pantry in person, working as a shop assistant during Pantry hours, or in the Resource Center connecting neighbors with additional programs and organizations that can provide support beyond food assistance.

For Olivia, one of the best parts of volunteering is meeting new people and having fun with the kids who come through the Pantry. She also hopes her time here helps others understand the wide range of families who turn to the Pantry for support. Every neighbor’s situation is different. Some may need help for a short time, while others may need support for longer.

No matter what brings someone through our doors, Olivia works to make sure they have a positive experience while they are here.

We are so grateful for Olivia and all the ways she shows up for our neighbors and our volunteer community!

This year has been a bit of a roller coaster, so on Friday, we decided to embrace it. 🎢

The Pantry team traded Schrock Road for Cedar Point and spent the day riding roller coasters, laughing a lot, and enjoying some much needed time together. (We missed you, James!)

We’re especially thankful for the incredible volunteers who made it possible for our team to take a day together without disrupting service to our neighbors. We couldn’t have done it without you.

We wanted to share this message we recently received from a neighbor.

"Thank you so much for everything you do. We truly appreciate you stepping out of your way to help families in need. Your kindness, generosity, and compassion make a real difference in our community. Thank you for providing hope and support to those who need it most. We are very grateful for all that you do!"

Thank you to everyone who helps make this work possible.

If you needed a sign to donate to our Summer Stock Up... this is it.

Pads, diapers (especially sizes 4+), peanut butter, cereal, tuna, shampoo, deodorant, and other personal care items are some of our biggest needs right now.

Every donation helps make sure our neighbors have the food and everyday essentials they need before summer comes to an end.
