The Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities hosted the 16th annual Mental Health and Addicition Conference: Inspiring a Stronger Tomorrow. DBH Director Tia Marcel Moretti joined to give opening remarks and lead a session on the department's new initiatives. The two-day conference highlights innovative strategies and best practices in prevention, education, intervention, treatment, recovery, family support, and community engagement.

June is PTSD Awareness Month. About 12 million people in the U.S. are living with PTSD, yet many never receive treatment. The good news: PTSD treatment works. Whether trauma comes from military service, assault, accidents, disasters, or other experiences, effective support can help reduce symptoms and improve quality of life. Ohio youth are leading the conversation around mental health awareness. 📱 💚

DBH Director Tia Marcel Moretti joined Ohio Su***de Prevention Foundation (OSPF) for the launch of a new youth-focused campaign to raise awareness of the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, featuring “N88” (pronounced Nate), a youth-created character designed to make mental health support feel more approachable and accessible for students across Ohio.

Developed with input from young people, the campaign aims to reduce stigma, encourage connection, and help more youth know where to turn for support. Campaign materials will begin appearing in schools and youth organizations across Ohio during the 2026–2027 school year. Learn more from OSPF 🔗 https://bit.ly/4dPUTxt
