Home for Families Founded in 1986, HFF is one of the largest providers of non-shelter housing for low-income, Columbus-area families and youth experiencing housing crises.

Home for Families partners with families and youth to resolve their housing crises, strengthen financial stability, and bridge education gaps to prevent future homelessness. Join us in celebrating a 40-year legacy of empowering families! On Saturday, October 10th, we'll gather for an evening of gratitude, reflection, and fun! In addition to small bites and a limited bar, we'll have live music from The Conspiracy Band and a meet and greet with our Canine Companions® Facility Dog, Tatum!

We've worked to empower families since 1986, and we remain dedicated to helping ensure that safe and stable housing is attainable for all of us.

Our impact snapshot for 2025:

♥️ 259 children served through our education programming
♥️ 1,877 individuals served through our material assistance programming

School might be back in session, but we can't stop thinking about all the fun that our Summer Achievers got up to over the past couple of months. Whether they were wising up with Young Money Finances, getting a taste of sustainable food practices at Highland Youth Garden, seeing visual expression on display at the Columbus Museum of Art, or learning how to stay cool in the event of a fire emergency at the Central Ohio Fire Museum & Learning Center, our students learned valuable lessons and made a whole lot of memories. Have a great school year, everyone! Here's to an adventure-filled summer. 🌞

We're so proud of these kind kids! Our Seeds of Caring Columbus volunteers gathered together this past Saturday at the Discover Shine Bright Community Center to support families participating in Home for Families programs! A total of 19 kids participated (along with their grown-ups). Together, they were able to pack 75 hygiene kits to help families struggling with housing insecurity access crucial personal care items. ❤️ They also helped spread a bit of birthday magic by creating 20 birthday bags! 🎂🎉 As part of their volunteer experience, kids also played a basic needs board game in which they had to choose how to spend limited resources in a variety of scenarios. Thank you, friends, for working to create brighter futures for families in our community! 🌟
