Afterschool programs make a difference every day—inspiring learning, building confidence, and helping young people thrive!

Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide celebration recognizing the important role afterschool programs play in supporting children, families, and communities—and raising awareness of the need for quality programs.

At Central Community House, our Youth Are Central program provides a safe, engaging space where kids can learn, create, build friendships, and discover their potential.

🎨✨ Big news for TRANSIT ARTS!

We're excited to announce that Central Community House has received a $45,000 grant from AIMS Columbus to support TRANSIT ARTS programming for middle school students during the 2026–2027 school year!

Through this funding, TRANSIT ARTS will offer small-group, 6–8 week creative programs tailored to young people's interests, including opportunities like The Glow Project and Boys Brilliance Project.

Students will explore different art forms, build meaningful connections, receive mentorship, and develop social-emotional skills in a supportive, creative environment. ❤️

With an expectation of reaching 125 middle school students through this funding, we're excited to expand opportunities for youth to express themselves, build confidence, and grow!

A huge thank you to AIMS Columbus for investing in our young people and helping us make the arts more accessible to our community! 🎭🎶
