EPSTEIN CLASS FUNDRAISER (for Vivek Ramaswamy, Ohio GOP Gubernatorial Candidate)
$100,000 to chair. $50,000 to co-chair. $25,000 to host. $1,000 to walk in the door. That was the price list at the Haslam house in Bratenahl last night.
Remember the first Discharge Petition? November 2025, the vote to force the Epstein files into the open. All 214 House Democrats signed it. Only 4 Republicans did, out of roughly 219. Massie, Greene, Mace and Boebert. GOP leadership and Trump opposed the whole effort and pushed a closed-door Oversight Committee investigation instead. Private depositions, nothing public. Only after the petition hit 218 and forced a floor vote did the rest of them come around, and then the House passed it 427 to 1. It took every Democrat plus 4 Republicans to make them do something nearly all of them then voted for.
Monday night Congressman Thomas Massie stood on the House floor, read 14 names into the Congressional Record, and called them people who should be investigated and prosecuted. Bankers, a retail billionaire, a hotel heir, a hedge fund founder, a prince. His words, not ours. Everyone on that list who has spoken publicly has denied wrongdoing. He filed a second petition the same night, because the Justice Department is still withholding over 3 million files. It needs 218 signatures. AGAIN!
The committee that oversees the Justice Department is House Judiciary. Its chairman is Jim Jordan of Ohio.
Jordan was the assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State from 1986 to 1994. Former wrestlers have said for 8 years that he knew team doctor Richard Strauss was abusing them and didn't act. Ohio State's own independent investigation found Strauss committed nearly 1,500 acts of sexual assault. Jordan denies knowing anything, he is not a defendant in the lawsuits, and no finding has been made against him. In May a deposition was unsealed in which OSU's former athletic director said he doesn't find the denial credible.
Jordan didn't sign the first petition either.
Look at Columbus. The Ohio Republican Party endorsed Rodney Creech in February, 9 months after the Speaker of the Ohio House stripped him of all 4 committee assignments and asked him to resign. Creech told BCI investigators he got into bed with a minor relative wearing only his underwear, probably every night. He denies wrongdoing and no criminal charge has been filed in connection with those allegations.
Max Miller is still on the ballot in OH-7. Multiple women have made allegations against him in court filings. He denies all of them, no criminal charge has been filed in connection with those allegations, and these are allegations rather than proven facts.
There's a pattern and it isn't subtle. Given a choice between a person accused and the people accusing them, this party protects the person accused. Federal, state, and at a fundraiser where one seat can cost more than an Ohio teacher makes in a year.
Ohio has 15 members of the House. Ask yours if they've signed.
Remember to make a plan to vote in November, and ask yourself which party is hiding the files.
