🚓☀️ Another exciting day at our First Responder Summer Camp!
Our campers got a hands-on look at several important areas of law enforcement and public safety. They learned about different specialized units, practiced the basics of conducting a traffic stop, and discovered the vital role Texas Game Wardens play in protecting our natural resources and local wildlife. 🦌🐢
Campers also had the opportunity to meet the Bexar County Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol, learn about their unique responsibilities, and get an up-close look at their incredible horses. 🐴⭐
To wrap up the day, campers participated in a lesson on the dangers of impaired driving. Using simulation goggles that mimic the effects of alcohol impairment, they attempted to dribble a basketball while maintaining coordination—an eye-opening experience that highlighted the importance of making safe choices behind the wheel. 🏀
We're proud of our campers for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to learn. Tomorrow, they will be graduating! 🎓
