Wow! What a great turnout by Judson ISD Athletics! These Rockets landed in Converse North Park and spent their morning clearing brush from the City of Converse’s new Greenway Trail extension! Their work not only improved the look of the new trail, but also reduced fire risk by removing brush, low lying limbs and tall grass from the fences. Big thanks to all the student-athletes, Coaches and parents for showing up in force…Great job Rockets!

Thank you for spending Fire Prevention Week with us! We hope you enjoyed learning about fire safety and discovering ways to keep your family and home safe.

This year’s theme, “Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” reminds us that small actions can make a big difference.

We encourage you to keep practicing these safe charging habits throughout the year:
🔌 Use the correct charger for your devices.
🏠 Charge devices on hard, flat surfaces.
⚠️ Watch for warning signs like heat or unusual smells.
🔋 Unplug devices when they’re fully charged.
🚲 Charge e-bikes, e-scooters, and large tools outdoors when possible.

Fire safety doesn’t stop when Fire Prevention Week ends! Make these habits part of your daily routine and help keep your home, family, and community safe all year long.

Our Converse Fire Department crews stayed busy this September, responding to 420 calls for service between EMS and fire-related incidents!

Every number represents a moment when someone needed help, and we’re proud of the dedicated men and women who show up day after day to make a difference.

Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools
outside when possible. Do not block exits when charging. These
batteries store more energy, and fires can grow quickly if they
fail.

Be on the lookout for Judson athletes volunteering in North Park on Monday morning! These student athletes will be working hard to assist in the removal of brush and general cleanup of the areas next to our new Hike and Bike trail! We are looking for more volunteers to help…this is a great opportunity for those that may need community service hours! Send us a message with any questions….or plan to show up, work and hang out with us!

One of our newer members, Firefighter/Paramedic Harry, recently completed this rigorous process with our Field Training Officers and Medical Director. Despite the challenges, Harry stayed the course, put in the work, and did a fantastic job! We’re proud of his determination, hard work, and commitment to becoming an even better provider. We look forward to watching him continue to grow alongside his fellow firefighters and paramedics!
