During an emergency, the scene is often loud, chaotic, and filled with uncertainty. This is where countless hours of training, preparation, and teamwork make all the difference.
When the call comes in, the size of the victim doesn't matter. Whether it's a 200-pound person, a 40-pound dog, a 3-pound cat, or in this case, a 45-60 gram lizard, every life matters.
To many, a pet is more than an animal—they are family. Our firefighters approach every rescue with the same dedication and commitment, no matter how big or small the mission may seem. When your family needs help, we will answer the call.

It was an inspiring event celebrating the athletes, their accomplishments, and the power of inclusion. We are proud to support Special Olympics Texas and their mission of creating opportunities for all.

Around midnight on a busy FM road, Converse Fire Department responded after a motorist heard a kitten crying while stopped at a red light and called for help. Crews located the kitten trapped beneath a concrete Jersey barrier and safely freed it through careful, coordinated efforts.
We’re grateful for the citizen who stopped and spoke up—helping bring this little life to safety. 🐾🚒

What a fantastic final day of First Responder Summer Camp 2026!

This week was packed with learning, teamwork, new experiences, and plenty of fun. We hope every camper leaves with great memories, new skills, and a better understanding of the incredible work our first responders do every day.

Thank you to all of our campers, families, volunteers, and staff who helped make this year's camp such a success. We loved spending the week with each and every one of you and hope to see you all again next year!
