Ice Cream Social to begin right after lunch is served. Reservations are being accepted by contacting our Dining room 401-780-6134.

Here is what is on the lunch menu that day:

Corn Chowder, BBQ Grilled Chicken, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Mandarin Oranges, and Corn Bread (Sandwich Option: Corned Beef & Swiss on Rye).

Today is the day to celebrate accomplishing six months practicing Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance as our instructors, Social Services Director Jennifer Kevorkian and Case Worker Amy Ricci led seven students to have more confidence in their balance and strengthening! Congratulations for those who completed the course and hope to see everyone in the next session starting March 2027! The students demonstrated their skills with their friends and family watching from the sidelines. After the exercise, the Cranston Senior Center's Nutrition Department put together a light breakfast for all to enjoy with muffins, fruit and coffee! Lets all give round of applause to Jennifer and Amy!

Cranston Senior Center enjoyed the nice days this week as some kicked off our Wednesday at the Cranston Senior Golf Tournament! Thank you to the Cranston Country Club for hosting the occasion! Seniors and their friends and family enjoyed 18 hole round of golf with lunch and a banquet immediately following the tournament!

A thank you goes out to Director Stephan Craddock and Transvan Director Rachael Mancuso for working together every year to put this event together! 😀

What a beautiful start to the work week as our seniors enjoyed a scenic tour around Newport Harbor and got to explore the lighthouses around our amazing coastline! 😀

Thank you to Transvan Director Rachael Mancuso for organizing this trip every year! We were thrilled that the seniors got such nice weather!

What a beautiful day for the Mayor's picnic! Thank you to Mayor Ken Hopkins for giving the Cranston Senior Center the opportunity to host this wonderful event! The weather was perfect and so was the teamwork! Cranston Senior Center staff worked together with our senior volunteers and members from the community! Our seniors had a fantastic day filled with great food, music and dancing! A big huge thank you to our Cranston West Falcon Football players who not only can show us teamwork on the field, but also off the field and assisted the staff and the seniors with phenomenal sportsmanship! Go Falcons! Also, a huge shout out goes to Councilman Richard Campopiano, Candidates Joseph Ianitti and Alphonse Cardi for taking time to assist the staff and seniors today! Thanks to former Mayor John O'Leary for providing the venue along with the caretakers, Mary and Greg! Also, thank you to Chief of Staff Anthony Moretti, former Mayor Michael Traficante, and School Committee member Anthony Melillo for always helping us out! Music by Joe Vono!

A big huge thank you goes to our SENIORS for being there to enrich our lives! Seniors, today was for you to come together, socialize and have a great time! ♥

Come join us in September as we kick off an all new class Drums Alive! Registration starts Tuesday, September 1, 2026! Limited seats available for this amazing opportunity!

Drums Alive! is known to help improve the mental, physical and social way of life for the senior communities!

A big huge thank you to P.J. Keating for donating the equipment to brighten up our Tuesday afternoon as the seniors will be able to beat to the sound of their own drum!

Better late than never to post! Last Friday, August 7th our seniors had great time Dip, Dab, Painting and eating some yummy desserts thanks to our programs director Sky Marcos, Art teacher Sylvia, and a big appreciation to our sponsors: Cranston Police Community Outreach and CCAP who go above and beyond for our senior community!

I scream! You scream! We all screamed for an ice cream social on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Thanks to Programs Director Sky Marcos and the All American Assisted Living who hosted this fun event for our seniors after lunch that day.
