Headed to a Memorial Day picnic or cookout? 🇺🇸

Keep the weekend fun by making food safety part of the plan. From prep to cleanup, focus on keeping foods at safe temperatures, preventing cross-contamination, and practicing good hygiene.

Keep cold foods at 40°F or below, hot foods at 140°F or above, and don’t leave food out for more than two hours (or one hour if it’s 90°F+).

Use separate utensils for raw and cooked foods, and always wash your hands.

Visit the Extension website and ask Tilva your food safety questions before the holiday weekend: ai.extension.psu.edu
