The township is comprised of residential neighborhoods, commercial properties, and small industrial faci

lities all situated in a quiet suburban setting. Operating out of the five-bay, modern fire station at 217 Saxer Avenue, Springfield Fire Company currently utilizes six pieces of apparatus and two chiefs vehicles. Springfield Fire Company congratulates Thomas McKenna on his well earned graduation from Fire Fighter 1. Tom joined the fire company 3 years ago as a cadet. He spent over 200 hours training while attending high school and working. Tom does have to wait a few months until his 18th birthday to enter a burning structure. Congrats Tom and to all your classmates.

On Wednesday, Squad 44 was among some units from across Delaware County that participated in the Emergency and Protective Services at Delaware County Technical Schools “A Day in the Life” Program — an event giving students the opportunity to showcase the skills they’ve learned throughout the school year to their families and invited guests.
