On August 8, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a bipartisan resolution designating August 2–8, 2026, as National Community Health Center Week!
Today, the Senate passed by unanimous consent a bipartisan resolution designating August 2–8, 2026, as National Community Health Center Week—recognizing the vital role Community Health Centers play in delivering high-quality, accessible care and strengthening communities across the country.
We thank Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and John Hickenlooper (D-CO) for leading the resolution, along with Senators Jim Justice (R-WV), Peter Welch (D-VT), James Lankford (R-OK), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Adam Schiff (D-CA), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Cory Booker (D-NJ), Deb Fischer (R-NE), Michael Bennet (D-CO), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Ron Wyden (D-OR), Roger Wicker (R-MS), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) for joining in this bipartisan recognition of the Community Health Center movement.
