Today, our office, alongside the Union County Supervisor of Elections Office, had the privilege of assisting with the Florida FFA Association State Officer Election during the association’s annual conference in Orlando.

Beyond conducting the election, it was a great opportunity to help students experience the voting process firsthand and reinforce the importance of civic engagement. We also had the pleasure of meeting incredible student leaders from across Florida, including several outstanding students representing Volusia County Schools!

A special thank you to our friends at Heritage Middle School for sharing these photos.

And here’s the exciting part, voter turnout exceeded 96%! Congratulations to all of the candidates, and best of luck as the results are announced during Friday’s general session.

Today, at the annual Florida Supervisors of Elections Conference, Supervisor Lewis was sworn in as President of the organization.

The Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) is a professional organization complied of Supervisors and staff from all 67 Florida counties, with a goal of promoting professional development, sharing best practices, strengthening election administration, and helping ensure voters across the state have access to fair, secure, accurate, and transparent elections.

Lisa’s election as President is a testament to her leadership, dedication to public service, and commitment to serving voters not only in Volusia County, but throughout Florida. We are proud to see her represent our community in this important statewide role and help shape the future of election administration across the Sunshine State.
