You probably know us for the parks, the youth basketball and baseball leagues, and the community events. But the DeLand Parks and Recreation Department is also behind your adult rec leagues, our recreation and community centers, park and athletic field maintenance, sports concessions, supporting Stetson and DeLand High School teams on the field, the major sporting partnerships that bring outside organizations to our city, and managing the personnel that make it happen day after day. For FY 26/27, we have a proposed budget of $5.3 million to keep it all going. That is a lot of ground to cover (literally), and we are glad to do it.

Spec Martin Stadium is ready for Friday night lights!

The DeLand Parks and Recreation team has been hard at work getting the stadium in shape ahead of DeLand High School’s big game next Friday. New grass, an updated scoreboard, a stocked concession stand, and a new sound system are all ready to go.

The home side is looking good, Bulldogs. See you under the lights.
