Volusia County Teen Court Volusia County Teen Court is a volunteer program for Middle and High School Students. We are located in Deland and Daytona Beach. Ridgewood Ave.

It is a great way to earn community service hours, gain legal experience, give back to your community, and make new friends. Thank you for your interest in learning more about the Volusia County Teen Court. We are always in need of volunteers who would like to learn more about the judicial system. Teen Court is a diversion program designed to divert less serious cases away from the more formal juv

enile court. Teen Court is based on the premise that youthful offenders will more readily accept responsibility for their actions when judged and sentenced by their peers. Teen Court sessions are held on Mondays at the DeLand Courthouse, 101 N. Alabama Ave., DeLand FL 32724 and on Tuesdays at the S. James Foxman Justice Center, 251 N. Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Each volunteer receives four (4) service hours, however during the summer months service hours are doubled. These hours can be used towards academic scholarships or graduation requirements. The attire is business casual. We welcome you to come and observe Teen Court on any upcoming Monday or Tuesday evening. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me. Nearly 100 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards participants from across Florida spent part of their multi-day RYLA event at the Volusia County Courthouse.

Students participated in mock trials coordinated by Volusia County Teen Court. They took on courtroom roles as prosecutors, defense attorneys, clerks, jurors, and defendants while working together to reach verdicts.

Judges Randell Rowe, Kathryn Weston, Robert Sanders, and Wesley Heidt presided over the mock trials.

Thank you to Rotary District 6970, Volusia County Teen Court, our judges, and everyone who helped give these future leaders a hands-on look at the judicial system.

Case Manager Beth Morgan had a productive evening representing Teen Court at the Volusia County Schools F.A.C.T Fair, which was held at Deltona Middle School on February 19, 2026. This annual event unites families, community partners, and schools in support of youth academic success. Students gained valuable insights into Teen Court and explored distinctive volunteer opportunities.
