Due to a delayed permitting process, excavation on the Tennessee-Oneida Project will not begin this week. No parking restrictions on E. Mississippi Ave. (east of the fenced area to S. Oneida) will not be enforced until the excavation permit is issued, though fencing, traffic closures, and detours will remain in place. Crews will continue monitoring the site, and some material deliveries may arrive for storage inside the fenced area. DOTI expects to provide another update soon.

Thank you for your patience!

While there is certainly a need for more park space downtown, I have repeatedly heard from District 5 residents that the tax dollars they pay are not coming back to them through investments in the parks we already have.

From safety concerns caused by e-scooters to the lack of restrooms, our existing parks need more funding and staffing. That's why I voted no on spending $3 million from the Parks Legacy Fund to acquire more park land before adequately investing in current parks.

Neglected and derelict buildings can have impacts far beyond the property itself, affecting the neighbors, businesses, and communities around them. I’m proud of the work Denver City Council, CPD, and our partner agencies put into creating a more effective approach to address these challenges. This updated ordinance provides clearer expectations for property owners and helps ensure the city can better respond when properties remain unresolved.
