I am pleased to announce that two pieces of legislation I led through the Senate were recently signed into law.
- To address instances of domestic abusers using recording devices to intimidate victims in courtrooms, I passed a law that prohibits the recording of a victim or witness inside of state courthouses. Illinois has zero tolerance for those who try to intimidate or harass domestic violence victims, and this law fortifies that truth.

- Additionally, I passed a law to expand eligibility for households near O'Hare Airport to receive appropriate sound insulation in preparation for the expanding O'Hare Airport Modernization Program.

I am proud to have passed these measures and will continue to prioritize legislation that puts the people of Illinois and the 28th District, first. Both laws take effect on Jan. 1, 2027.
