Severe weather is expected across our area today. Please stay weather-aware, have multiple ways to receive emergency alerts and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rain.

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms will move south and east into parts of the region this morning. Damaging wind gusts and brief, torrential rainfall are the main threats with this activity. A brief tornado can't be ruled out.
