National Recovery Month promoted by SAMHSA is an opportunity to celebrate the power of recovery, recognize the people and organizations that make it possible, and remind those struggling with addiction that hope and healing are within reach.

Through our Treatment Center and recovery programs, DRMM provides compassionate support, structure, resources and encouragement to help individuals take the next steps toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Recovery is a journey. It takes courage, commitment and community. Together, we can help build recovery-ready communities where everyone has the opportunity to heal, grow and thrive.

In response to a recent post from Detroit Ombudsman Sherry Gay-Dagnogo (THANK YOU for raising awareness and the need for information for those we know who need help), we wanted to share general resources available for those in need of emergency shelter and housing services within Detroit.

If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness or needs help finding housing, the City of Detroit and community partners offer resources.

Support may include:
• 🚨 Emergency shelter and homeless services
• 🏡 Housing assistance and resources
• 🔑 First-time homebuyer programs
• 🤝 Connections to the Detroit Housing Network
• And more resources to help individuals and families find stability

🎄 Christmas in August at DRMM! 🎄

We wrapped up our final DRMM Summer Community Outreach Day-Christian Guidance Center of the summer at the Christian Guidance Center with fellowship, resources, food, and plenty of community spirit!

A special thank you to the Christian Guidance Center staff for their hard work and gracious hospitality, and to the Detroit Pistons for generously donating 2026 Playoff T-shirts to our guests. 🏀👕

🎒📚 Happy First Day Back to School! 📚🎒

Today, we’re celebrating a new school year and looking back at a wonderful day of community, connection, and giving back!

A huge THANK YOU to the Wyandotte Police Department - Michigan for partnering with Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries for a special Backpack Giveaway! 🎒❤️

Because of generous community support, students were able to head back to school with backpacks and school supplies to help them start the year ready to learn, grow, and succeed.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible and to our partners at the Wyandotte Police Department for investing in our children and families.
