ATTENTION: The City Public Utilities Department has recently been making some adjustments at the water treatment plant regarding the water disinfectant process in an effort to make the process more efficient. Due to these adjustments and the interaction between disinfectants as they mix in the distribution system, some residents may experience a slight chlorine odor during water usage. This process and any potential odor issues are expected to only last a few days.

The City wants to remind residents that the drinking water remains safe to drink and use normally! Thank you for your patience as we work through these adjustments. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Engineering at 662-7600 Ext. 2.

ATTENTION: Construction crews are planning on starting work on the two roadway projects beginning tomorrow morning. Crews will be starting with saw cutting and removing curb and gutter, driveways and ADA ramps throughout both the 'Hwy 2 Frontage Road' project and the 'Southside Mill & Overly' project. Please slow down and give workers plenty of space to complete the work safely and effectively!

This work will be followed by some full depth repair areas throughout the 'Southside Mill & Overlay' project areas shown below in the next couple of weeks. Once this work is completed, crews will be milling off the existing asphalt surface from all of the roadways shown for each project, along with some shared use paths, and completing some asphalt paving in those same areas.

To complete this work, some roadways will be closed to allow for crews to excavate the existing roadway and replace with new gravel base and asphalt. During the milling and paving operations, roadways will remain partially open with flaggers and minor delays are expected.

Please use caution when driving through these areas and find alternate routes if possible to allow the crews to work safely and effectively. Updates regarding specific roadway closures and work locations will be provided on the City's page as they become available!
