Last Friday, Levi Bachmeier, State Superintendent, and Jacob Anderson, Senior Advisor to the State Superintendent, visited our school to observe instructional practices, tour our facilities, and engage in meaningful dialogue with staff members about our work and initiatives.

FROM GARDEN TO TABLE...In the Spring, the students grew starter vegetable plants which were transferred to the NDSD School Garden. Now, they are harvesting the veggies and learning about what foods we can make with them. Mrs. Koth's Pre-Kinder classroom made SALSA-- wash, chop, mix, & taste! It was a yummy learning day!

Students and Education staff were treated with a guest reader in the Library today. Technology Coordinator, Kerry Olson-Rysavy, will be retiring at the end of August after 42 years at NDSD/RC. She read the book, See You Later, Alligator by Sally Hopgood. Thank you, Kerry, and congratulations on your retirement! We will miss you.

The North Dakota Dual Sensory Project is pleased to announce the Fall 2026 courses from the “Open Hands, Open Access” (OHOA) modules.
These online training modules, developed by the National Center on Deafblindness (NCDB), are designed to provide training about various aspects of deafblindness education and support. These fully online courses provide practical strategies for educating children and youth with deafblindness and other disabilities.
ND educators and professionals are eligible for a tuition reimbursement contingent on grant continuation funding.
