🎒📚 Happy First Day of School, T/E! 🍎✏️

The first day of school is here! Welcome back, Tredyffrin/Easttown School District! We hope students, teachers, staff, and families have a fantastic year ahead. 💙

As everyone gets back into the school routine, remember a few important safety tips:

🚸 Slow down in school zones and watch for children crossing the road.
🚌 Give school buses plenty of space and stop when the bus has its red lights flashing.
🚶 Keep an eye out for pedestrians and cyclists, especially around schools and bus stops.
📱 Put the phone down while driving - eyes up and focused on the road!
🎒 Be patient as traffic and drop-off lines may take a little longer during the first few days.

And to our students: Have fun, make new friends, learn something new, and make this a great year! 🌟

🐩🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾🐶

Today, we’re celebrating our four-legged friends who are always there for us when we get home from a long day.

From the family couch potato to the neighborhood’s most enthusiastic tail-wagger, every dog deserves a little extra love today. Give your pup an extra belly rub, a favorite treat, and maybe an extra walk around the neighborhood. 🐶🚔

And remember: never leave your furry friend in a hot vehicle, even for a few minutes. 🌡️☀️

Found Dog!

Female pitbull with a pink and teal collar was found near Leopard Road in Berwyn. She is friendly, but has no tags. If you know where she belongs please call 610-647-1440.

🚸 School is Back (for some of our neighbors)! 🎒

Some of our neighboring school districts start back to school this week, which means more school buses, children walking and biking, and increased traffic on our roads.

Please help keep our kids safe:
🚌 Stop for school buses when the red lights are flashing
🚶 Watch carefully for children in and around crosswalks
🚗 Slow down and stay alert in school zones and neighborhoods
📱 Put the phone down and keep your eyes on the road
⏰ Give yourself a few extra minutes, prepare to expect some delays!

T/E schools will be starting soon, so let’s all do our part to make this a safe school year for everyone! 💙

Schools across Chester County are back in session today and in the coming weeks.

Keep students safe by stopping at least 10 feet away from any school bus with its red lights on and stop sign out.

Easttown Township residents should remain weather aware today as thunderstorms are expected across the area, with the potential for damaging winds, heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and an isolated tornado.

Severe weather can develop quickly. Please:
• Monitor weather alerts throughout the day.
• Avoid driving through flooded roadways. 🚗
• Secure outdoor furniture and other loose items.
• If a warning is issued for our area, seek shelter indoors immediately.
• Never attempt to drive through standing or moving water. ☔

Stay safe, stay alert, and keep an eye on the forecast throughout the afternoon and evening.

Tonight, we proudly welcomed Easttown’s newest Chief of Police, Chief Sesher, who was sworn in by Judge Makenzie Smith.

Please join us in congratulating Chief Sesher as he begins this new chapter of leadership and service to the community. Chief Sesher has proudly served the community of Easttown in various Law Enforcement roles for 27 years. We look forward to supporting him and continuing to providing the professionalism, dedication, and commitment our residents deserve.

Easttown Township Police Department Detectives 👮🏻‍♂️🕵🏻‍♂️ were happy to join the Trinity House community for their National Night Out event this week. They enjoyed connecting with residents, answering questions, and sharing information and handouts about common scams we are seeing in our community.

Community events like this are a great opportunity to build relationships, share resources, and help keep our residents informed and safe. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with our Detectives! 🚓

If you receive a suspicious call or email requesting money, payment, gift cards, personal information, or other financial information while claiming to be from law enforcement, please hang up and do not provide any information or payment.

📌Solicitor Permit update:

Starting July 28, 2026, there will be solicitors for EcoShield, a pest control company, within the township. All company representatives must wear the township-issued ID while soliciting in our area.

The permit is valid from July 28, 2026- August 28, 2026.

If anyone comes to your home to solicit, ask to see their permit; if they do not have one, they most likely did not apply for one. If this is the case, or you have any issues or concerns, please call 610-647-1440 and ask to speak to an Officer
