⛳ Tee up for a great cause at the 18th Annual Dover Children’s Home Golf Tournament

Join us for a fantastic day on the course while supporting the youth at Dover Children's Home. Every swing, sponsorship, and registration helps provide stability, support, and opportunities for young people in our care. Our good friends at Polychronis Financial Services are devoted supporters of this event! 💚

We’re currently seeking sponsors to fill:
🏌️‍♂️ A Luncheon Sponsor
☕ A Breakfast Sponsor

Both sponsorship opportunities offer excellent visibility and marketing exposure throughout the event - and each includes a complimentary foursome! It’s a great way to support local youth while showcasing your business to community members and fellow supporters.

Gather your team, register to play, or learn more about sponsorship opportunities here:

We can’t wait to see you on the course! 🏌️‍♀️

🍽️ Our June Meal Calendar still has openings that we would love to fill!

Providing meals for the youth at Dover Children's Home is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways our community shows up for the kids in our care. Whether it’s a homemade dinner, takeout from a favorite local spot, or groceries for a cook-on-site meal, these monthly meal donations make a huge difference in the daily life of our program.

For our youth, sharing a meal together creates comfort, consistency, and connection - something that can be incredibly important during difficult or uncertain times. For our volunteers, it’s a chance to directly support and encourage the young people in our community in a tangible, personal way.

If you’ve ever thought about helping out, this is a wonderful way to get involved! 💚

Join us in congratulating our Clinical Manager, Savannah Fay, who spent last week at Texas Christian University completing training to become a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner! 🎉 She has loved this learning opportunity - just look at that smile! 😄

Savannah will now join Sarah Gordon, our Executive Director, in helping expand and strengthen TBRI-informed care throughout our program, while also supporting training opportunities for staff and our broader community moving forward.

TBRI is an incredibly impactful model for anyone working with young people, especially youth from hard places. It’s also a valuable tool for parents, caregivers, educators, counselors, mentors, and anyone hoping to better understand connection-based support strategies. 💚

Our next THREE-DAY TBRI Training is happening this June, and we’d love to have you join us!

We love when our beloved past team members come to say hello. Today we had two very special people, Gary and Joanne, come back to visit after they retired last year. They both devoted many years to DCH and we miss them dearly! What a treat to catch up and have them here again. 💚

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we wanted to share some highlights in the next week for how our team is honoring this both inside and outside of DCH. 💚

On May 17, Shannon Berray, one of our relief staff here at DCH, joined our Executive Director, Sarah Gordon, in Triangle Club's 16th Annual Spirit of Recovery 5K Road Race. This is the organization's biggest fundraiser of the year, raising money to support the Club's mission to promote the spiritual, physical, and mental health of people in recovery from addiction to alcohol and other substances, and to provide a safe place for those who acknowledge that staying substance-free is of primary importance.

Triangle Club is an exceptional community organization, and we are so happy to support their mission!

The response to our Amazon Wish List needs has been nothing short of incredible! ✨

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, we are now stocked up on essential household items including laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, and even a new mattress pad - along with much-needed items for the young man who recently transitioned into our Independent Living program. We’re still eagerly awaiting a few more deliveries from generous supporters as well!

It is truly amazing how quickly our community responds whenever needs arise for our program and the youth in our care. The outpouring of support from people both near and far is a powerful reminder of how deeply our mission is valued and supported.

Every donation, every purchase, and every act of kindness helps create comfort, stability, and opportunity for the youth at Dover Children's Home. For anyone who missed the post and wanted to give - here is our wish list! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/APS8OF37CMON?ref_=wl_share

From all of us - THANK YOU for showing up for our kids in such a meaningful way. We are deeply grateful. 💚

🚨 THEY’RE GOING OVER THE EDGE FOR DCH! 🚨

Five BRAVE community supporters are taking fundraising to new heights - literally! 🧗‍♂️

Our incredible team, including community supporters, John LaBreck, Amy Turner, and Danica Billado, as well as DCH board members, Courtney Stillings and Samuel Wood, are participating in the United Way of Greater Nashua’s Over the Edge event, where they’ll rappel 300 FEET down the Brady Sullivan Tower to raise awareness and critical funds for the youth at Dover Children’s Home! 😱🏙️

These fearless supporters are stepping outside their comfort zones to support youth who deserve safety, stability, encouragement, and opportunity - and we couldn’t be more grateful for their courage and commitment!

Please consider supporting our team in whatever way you are able - every donation, share, and word of encouragement helps make a difference for the young people we serve each day. 💙

Check out our team members’ fundraising pages and donate to help cheer them on as they prepare to go OVER THE EDGE on June 23! 🙌 DCH is currently in SECOND place on the leaderboard. Let's move us up to FIRST! 🥳

More info to come on how YOU can support these lovely people on event day!

📦 Amazon Wish List Call-Out! 💙

We are currently in need of a few everyday essentials and program items at Dover Children's Home - and our Amazon Wish List makes it easy to help!

Our current top priorities include:
🧻 Toilet paper
✨ Dish soap
🧺 Laundry detergent

We also have one very important program need… a new Papasan chair! 🪑 Our beloved donated chair from a few years ago finally bit the dust, and the kids absolutely LOVED using it in the study space for reading, relaxing, and decompressing.

In addition, one of our youth will soon be transitioning into our independent living studio apartment space, and we’re hoping to help make it feel comfortable and welcoming. We are currently looking for:
🗑️ Kitchen trash can
🚿 Shower curtain liner
🌀 Box fan
👕 Hangers
🛏️ Mattress pad

Anything purchased from the list ships directly to DCH, and every single item truly helps support the young people in our care.

Thank you so much for supporting our needed items and helping create comfort, stability, and care for our youth! 💙

Recently one of our wonderful friends Rebekah came by to share her ponies with us - Princess and Maple! 🐴 💜

To say we enjoyed the visit is an understatement. It brought such joy to our youth and staff, and it made our day. Now a few of our young adults are interested in horseback riding lessons! Be on the lookout for how to support this for our youth.

Thank you Rebekah and Cara!
