Traffic Alert - The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces the closure of the Route 273 off ramp to Route 4 has been extended through October 9th at 7:00 PM.

The closure is necessary to construct a shared-use path, realign the on-ramp, and add necessary safety improvements to the intersection.

Work began on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

As co-chair of the Bond Bill Committee, it is amazing to see the investments we make in our communities come to life, and breaking ground on White Clay Creek State Park’s new nature center was no different. This facility will transform and expand what the park has to offer, giving families and their children the opportunity to learn about the park, its natural environment, and rich history. I look forward to construction getting underway for this exciting new chapter for White Clay Creek State Park.

Every worker deserves a voice, a seat at the table, and the freedom to organize with their coworkers to build a fairer, more dignified workplace. I stand with the dedicated resident physicians at Christiana Care who are fighting for that very goal. Our health care workers stand on the frontlines every day to care for our most vulnerable Delawareans, and that commitment deserves to be honored in and beyond the workplace. As our State faces a shortage of health care workers, we know how important it is to make sure those workers are valued and remain in our State. This comes down to basic workers’ rights, free from intimidation, and I back the resident doctors who are fighting to unionize within our State’s largest health care system.

Newark -- The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that the closure of Upper Pike Creek Road between Pike Creek Road and New Linden Hill Road in Newark has been delayed.

The work will now begin Thursday, August 19th through Friday, August 21st from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting) for paving operations.

Detour - ; Motorists traveling northbound will turn left onto Old Coach Road, then turn right onto Polly Drummond Hill Road, then turn right onto Linden Hill Road to return to Upper Pike Creek Road.

Motorists traveling southbound will turn right onto Linden Hill Road, then turn left onto Polly Drummond Hill Road, then turn right onto Old Coach Road to return to Upper Pike Creek Road.
