City of Driggs Water System Notice – June 16, 2026
Due to a scheduled Fall River Rural Electric power outage this evening, the City of Driggs water system will be operating at reduced capacity. To help maintain adequate water supply and system stability, the City is asking all customers connected to the municipal water system to turn off their irrigation systems by 10 PM tonight (6/16/2026).

Our water system experiences its highest demand between midnight and 6 AM, primarily from irrigation use. Reducing irrigation during this window is essential to keeping the system functioning safely during the outage. City Public Works crews will be active throughout the night monitoring both the water and wastewater systems.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping reduce water usage this evening and supporting the reliability of our community’s infrastructure.

PLANNED POWER OUTAGE FOR MOST ALL OF TETON VALLEY

The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) continues their work on our co-owned substation at Targhee, which is the substation directly south of the Driggs courthouse. BPA & Fall River Electric crews have a planned power outage scheduled for early Wednesday morning, June 17th from midnight to approximately 4a.m. This will impact ALL members in the Driggs, Tetonia, Felt, & Alta areas. This will NOT impact the Victor area.

Members who have questions or concerns about this late night/early morning outage can call Fall River at 800.632.5726 during normal business hours of 8am to 4:30pm.

Fremont Ave, Rodeo Drive, and North Front St will be closed to through traffic this Wednesday for dust abatement. Local traffic only, expect delays if you must use these roads. Please use alternate routes if possible. Thank you for your patience while we improve our transportation network.

The Trees & Beautification Committee hosted an awesome Arbor Day celebration last week. Lion's Park now has 3 new beautiful trees, and a Restroom sign that stands out. Special thank you to Zane Lance of Zman Treeman and Devin Richardson of Branch Out Tree Service for providing knowledge, help and materials. Thank you to Cam Hieronymus, Teton County W**d Supervisor, for providing information on the noxious weeds in our area. We had a great time beautifying our community, see you next year!

Good News! The City of Driggs ranked #1 in our application for funding for our wastewater treatment plant through the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. We have high hopes that our application will be chosen.

IDEQ has a thirty day comment period that ends May 18 and then they will announce the final results shortly afterwards. Feel free to leave a positive comment through this link.
