Turn around don't drown!

Crossing the border illegally is dangerous for many reasons, one being the unpredictable environmental hazards. In RGV, one of the greatest risks is drowning due to the swift currents and changing water depths of the Rio Grande River. The best way to avoid a life-threatening situation is to enter the United States legally through a designated Port of Entry.
