Burglary Investigation:

The Wesleyville Borough Police is investigating multiple burglaries that took place at the White Buffalo Bar. The most recent being the morning of June 2nd 2026

This investigation is on going but after the latest incident Chief was able to quickly identify the male in the attached photos. A warrant was obtained and then issued for his arrest.

The Wesleyville PD patrol officer’s were then able to locate the suspect later that night. The male was identified as Christopher Carriero who was known to frequent the Buffalo Road Area. Upon his arrest he was remanded to the Erie County Prison.

Anyone with information in reference to this incident is urged to contact the Wesleyville Borough Police Department at 814-899-0681.

Wesleyville Police Respond to House Fire on East 30th Street

Earlier today, just after 8:00 a.m., officers from the Wesleyville Police Department were on routine patrol when Patrolman Maille and Chief Buzanowski discovered a house fire in the 2800 block of East 30th Street.

Upon discovering the fire, the officers immediately notified emergency responders and took action to assist at the scene. While awaiting the arrival of fire personnel, officers attempted to rescue two dogs believed to still be inside the residence.

Officers remained on scene assisting multiple responding fire agencies with traffic and scene management while also providing care to the dogs rescued from the home.

The Wesleyville Police Department would like to recognize the quick actions and teamwork displayed by all first responders involved in today’s incident.

No further information is available at this time.

Coyotes have been active in our area. Please take a few extra steps to keep your pets safe during bathroom breaks — even short ones.

WHEN LETTING PETS OUT:

Visually check yard before going out

Always go outside with your pet

Use a short leash, especially for small dogs

Turn on yard lights at night before you go out and make noise

Stay alert — watch bushes, tree lines, and wooded edges

BEST TIMES TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL:

Coyotes are most active at dawn, dusk, and nighttime

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIPS:

Do not leave small pets outside alone for extended periods of time and bring them back inside after they go.

Keep pet food, water, and trash secured

Keep cats indoors or supervised only

IF YOU SEE A COYOTE:

Stay calm — do not run

Pick up small pets if possible make yourself big and loud (yell, clap, wave arms) use spray if attacked.

Back away slowly toward your house

Please be advised: The traffic signal at Buffalo Road & Bird Drive is currently experiencing an electrical issue. A service crew has been dispatched; however, an estimated time for repair is not yet known.

Temporary stop signs have been deployed, and the intersection is operating as a four-way stop.

Please use caution while traveling through the intersection
