Yesterday, our Eudora Elementary third and fifth graders had an exciting day filled with real-world learning experiences. Third graders participated in their annual Target Day, using “money” to shop as part of their economics unit. Fifth graders transformed their classrooms into bustling marketplaces for “Market Day,” where students showcased and sold their own creative products. It was a great day of learning and fun for our students!

Dear Cardinal families,

Earlier today, there was a car accident in front of Eudora Middle School. We want to assure families that no students were injured during the incident.

We appreciate the quick response and support from the Eudora Police Department and Eudora Fire Department in helping ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community.

Today we recognize National Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Day, a time to honor the professionals who support students in developing communication, language, and social skills. Their work helps ensure all learners can connect meaningfully with the world around them.

Q: What inspired you to pursue this career?
"When I was in high school I was very torn between pursuing a medical career and an educational career, so becoming an SLP opened the doors to both of those avenues. I've always wanted to be in a helping career, so this seemed like the perfect fit! I also had an SLP when I was younger. Having a voice and being able to communicate with one another is one of the most valuable things we have in this life, and I get so much fulfillment helping individual's find their voices!" - Shayna Charles

Q: What is one thing people might not know about your role?
"SLPs do a lot more than work on speech sounds. We support language, social communication, stuttering, voice, AAC, and classroom participation. We also spend a lot of time collaborating with teachers, families, and staff so students can use those communication skills throughout their school day, not just during therapy". -Danielle Medlock

Field Day brought excitement and energy to our elementary school today as students spent the day outdoors participating in games and activities with their classmates. With the end of the school year approaching, it was a fun time to celebrate friendship and the memories made throughout the year.

Yesterday, our Eudora High School seniors visited Eudora Elementary School and Eudora Middle School for their annual senior walkthrough. As graduation approaches, we celebrate the dedication and accomplishments of our students. This milestone represents the culmination of their high school journey and the beginning of new opportunities ahead. Congratulations to the Class of 2026.
