Harper was excited to welcome back the 8th grade class of 1972 for a building tour before their big class reunion!

It was so much fun hearing your stories and memories of the special moments that happened within the walls of our school. There’s something so special about a school building. It holds more than classrooms and hallways, it holds memories, friendships, milestones, and generations of students.

We loved bringing the past back to Harper and celebrating the connections that continue to bring people together. Once a Hornet, always a Hornet!

Mrs. Bates’s class read A Little Scribble Spot and learned about emotions. Then they used their motor skills to create beautiful artwork to apply their learning and create emotions.

Today, 5th grade students took time to remember and learn about September 11, 2001.

Students shared stories about what their family members were doing on that day, giving us a powerful glimpse into personal memories of a moment that changed our country. They explored a timeline of the events of 9/11 and learned about the many people who stepped up to help, first responders, firefighters, police officers, medical professionals, volunteers, and everyday citizens.

Through these conversations and lessons, our students were reminded that history is not just about dates and events. It’s about people, courage, service, and the ways communities come together during difficult times.

We remember. We honor. We learn. 🇺🇸
