Users and visitors to social media sites shall be notified that the intended purpose of the site is to serve as a mechanism for communication between FNSB departments and members of
the public. To the extent prohibited by APOC, comments in support or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures or other political actions;

B. Content that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of age, race, religion, s*x, ethnicity, nationality, disability, or other protected class, status or characteristic;

D. Sexual content or links to s*xual content;

E. Solicitations of commerce;

F. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;

G. Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems; or

The appraisals for the West Chatanika Recreation Subdivision auction are live!

The Borough is preparing to sell 54 Borough-owned parcels within the West Chatanika River Recreation Subdivision for remote recreational and seasonal use. The subdivision was designed with larger lots and low density to help maintain the natural character of the area. This sale offers an opportunity to purchase remote rural property with access to outdoor and river recreation.

The Lottery Style Sale gives eligible Alaska residents the opportunity to purchase select parcels at appraised fair market value (FMV) rather than through a competitive bidding process. A lottery entry does not purchase the property directly but instead provides the chance to be selected to purchase the parcel. Each lottery ticket costs $25. Please review terms and eligibility below before participating.

Born in 1989, Winston the Turtle is the quintessential Fairbanks millennial.

She remembers the last standing Blockbuster in North Pole, when the U-Haul was a roller rink, when mosquito net was the fastest internet... she remembers MUS, and when the Johansen Expressway was built. Winston grew up in the golden era.

Today the ice cream truck stopped by Noel Wien Library, so she decided to zoom around the lawn in hopes of finding ice cream in the grass.

The 22nd Annual Stream Cleanup Day is this Saturday, June 13th from 9am-2pm! Volunteer on foot or in canoe to help us clean up our waterways.

Everyone is meeting at the DNR Chena River Recreation Site located off Geraghty and University Ave. between Splash and Dash and the Boatel. Be sure to arrive at 9am to get cleaning supplies and a safety briefing. This is a group effort-- thank you sponsors and volunteers for making this event possible for more than two decades.

‼️ ‼️ATTENTION WEST SIDE FAIRBANKS: Have you seen all that construction by the Chena Pump Transfer Site? Alaska DOT&PF is working on a roundabout project at the intersection, and the contractors need us to close the transfer site for a while so they can get the job done. 🦺🦺

Starting July 19th through September 25th, the Chena Pump Transfer Site will be CLOSED.

Alternative locations for you to take your trash will be the Ester Transfer Site and the Farmers Loop West Transfer Site. If you're in the borough you can take your trash to any site, or even the landfill.

Help us clean up around the Chena River!

Hey , STREAM CLEANUP DAY is June 13!

When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13.

Where: Meet at DNR Chena River Recreation Site off University Ave.

Who: Anyone who wants to help clean Fairbanks‐area waterways – note that children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please RSVP [email protected] to reserve a canoe available to experienced paddlers. There is a limited number of canoes reserved based on when RSVP request is received.
