We finally finished sorting through the data and getting our list of potential raffle winners together for the Annual Bike & Ped Count Alaska Train ticket giveaway! We had 47 individuals volunteer, had 67 intersections counted, and 104 entries into the Rolling Raffle. 7 of our volunteers totally sent it and counted for all 3 days, totaling their entries to 7 per person. Our winner was one of those people!

We are so grateful to ALL of our volunteers for coming together to support this effort.

Update on the data… In the Fall, FAST Planning is welcoming our very first Fellow and, with that added capacity for cool projects, we will be working on providing you with a decade+ long visualization of all this data. We can’t wait to tell the story of the increased biking and walking in this community with data that has been made possible by YOU!

🎉 We are pleased to announce that David Szumigala is this year‘s winner! Congratulations, David! We can’t wait to get a report on your travels! 🚂 🎫

🚲✨ IT'S TIME for the Annual Bike & Ped Count! ✨🚶‍♀️

Join FAST Planning May 26–28 from 4:30–6:30 PM as we count bicyclists & pedestrians across our community. This data helps us better understand how people move through Fairbanks & supports future transportation planning decisions & improvements.

📍 Pick your favorite intersection(s) before they’re claimed by going to www.fastplanning.us/bpcount and opening up the Volunteer Form!

We’re RAIL-y excited about this year’s volunteer incentive...

YOU COULD WIN 🎟️🎟️ TWO ROUND-TRIP TICKETS ON THE ALASKA RAILROAD!

Here’s how the BP Count Rolling Raffle works:
✅ Volunteer 1 day = 1 entry
✅ Volunteer 2 days (1 + 2) = 3 entries
✅ Volunteer all 3 days (1 + 2 + 3 + 1 BONUS) = 7 entries total!

The more days you volunteer, the better your chances to win.

Whether you walk, bike, roll, ride transit, or drive - these counts help create a more connected, accessible, & safer transportation system for everyone.

Again, head to www.fastplanning.us/bpcount to look at intersection locations & SIGN UP today! If the intersection isn't on the list, it means someone else snagged it.

GOOD LUCK!
