A Big Thank You to Our State Representatives & Community Leaders! 🚒

The Winfield District Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to WV State Representatives Phil Mallow and Mike Oliverio, along with former State Representative Mike DeVault and Ernie Van Gilder, for their support of our department and our volunteer firefighters.

We were honored to receive a $10,000 state grant that will allow the Winfield District Volunteer Fire Department to purchase 10 new SCBA bottles. These bottles are an essential piece of equipment that our firefighters rely on when entering dangerous environments to protect lives and property.

While the check pictured here is a state grant—not a personal donation—we are extremely grateful to everyone who helped secure these funds and support our department. Investments like this directly improve the safety and capabilities of our firefighters and the level of service we can provide to our community.

Thank you to Phil Mallow, Mike Oliverio, Mike DeVault, and Ernie Van Gilder for supporting the Winfield District Volunteer Fire Department and helping us keep our firefighters properly equipped and ready to answer the call.

Your WDVFD participated in the Boothsville VFD golf outing. WDVFD shot -15 through 18 holes. Another team shot -15 as well. The scramble went to a putt off. WDVFD was about to putt its way to a win with a putt off! WDVFD brought home 1st place!

On December 11, 2025, WDVFD members alongside BOOTHSVILLE VFD and Baxter VFD Co.2 participated in the Town of White Hall, WV Annual Christmas parade. We extend our gratitude to the organizers for the invitation and appreciate the chance to support local communities
