Today was a wonderful reminder of what community is all about. 💙

In less than one week, the employees of Marion County Rescue Squad came together and donated nearly 400 boxes of cereal to support Task Force on Domestic Violence, HOPE, Inc. and Stepping Stones.

That number may just sound like boxes on a shelf to some people, but to families and children in our community, it means meals, comfort, support, and knowing they are not alone during difficult times. It means a child having breakfast before school. It means a parent having one less thing to worry about.

Seeing our crews give back to the very community they proudly serve every single day is something truly special. These are the same people answering calls at all hours of the night, showing up on someone’s worst day, and then still finding time and compassion to help others outside of the ambulance.

We could not be more proud of our staff and the hearts they carry both on and off duty. Small acts of kindness truly do make a difference, and this was a beautiful example of what can happen when people come together for a cause bigger than themselves.

Thank you to every employee who donated and helped spread a little hope, one box at a time. 🥣💙

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, strength, and selflessness gave us the freedoms we enjoy every single day. ❤️🤍💙

At Marion County Rescue Squad, we are humbled to serve a community built on the sacrifices of so many heroes before us. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect, remember, and never forget those who gave everything for others.

As we spend time with family and friends today, we ask everyone to take a moment to honor the fallen and keep their loved ones in your thoughts.

From all of us at Marion County Rescue Squad, thank you to our nation’s heroes. We remember you today and every day. 🇺🇸

Nothing beats good music, good food, and even better company! 🎶🚑🌭

Our crews from Marion County Rescue Squad are having an amazing time out at the Three Rivers Festival enjoying the festivities, listening to live music, and grabbing some delicious carnival food between all the fun.

Special shoutout to Paramedic Tim Curry and EMT Jason Smart for representing MCRS and taking time to enjoy a little community fun together. Moments like these remind us how important it is to slow down, laugh, and make memories with our EMS family. ❤️

EMS Week may only last a week, but the sacrifices our crews make happen 24/7, 365 days a year. From the hardest calls to the longest nights, EMS is there for our community during some of life’s darkest moments — and that dedication never stops. ❤️🚑

One additional thank you goes out to West Virginia Pool Construction for recognizing that our crews deserve appreciation far beyond EMS Week. Their generosity and support mean more than words can express to the men and women of Marion County Rescue Squad.

West Virginia Pool Construction donated $300 worth of Applebee’s gift cards — twelve $25 door prizes — for our employees during EMS Week! 🍎🍔

We are incredibly grateful for businesses and community members who continue to support, encourage, and stand behind EMS providers all year long. Thank you for helping make this week so special for our crews. We are proud to serve Marion County each and every day.

☮️💙 PEACE • LOVE • EMS 💙☮️

As EMS Week comes to a close, Marion County Rescue Squad wants to give some HUGE shout outs to the amazing people in our community who helped make this week so special for our crews!

Thank you to Hawkins Towing, the FAIRMONT Police Department for all of the delicious pizza, EMT Lillian Price’s father for the KFC, Marc Margo, our Stryker representative, for the amazing Italian food, and the Marion County 911 Center for all the goodies and snacks! Your generosity, kindness, and support truly mean the world to us.

This week was filled with laughter, good food, tie dye, fun memories, and moments where our crews got to slow down, sit together, and enjoy time as one big family. In a career that can be stressful and nonstop, those moments together are something we will never take for granted.

We are incredibly grateful for each and every donation, meal, snack, kind word, and act of support shown to our staff throughout EMS Week. The love our community has shown us this week has been overwhelming in the best way possible.

Most importantly, this week reminded us just how proud we are to serve Marion County. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for always supporting your local EMS crews. We truly have the best community behind us. 🚑

EMS Week has reminded us once again just how lucky we are to have a community that truly supports our crews — even on the busiest, most chaotic days when caffeine is basically a personality trait and dinner is usually “whatever we can grab between calls.” 🚑💙

A HUGE thank you to Fairmont Medical Center for absolutely spoiling our staff with amazing food, drinks, desserts, and the thoughtful goodie bags! Your kindness means more than words can say. Long shifts, missed holidays, sleepless nights, and running nonstop can wear people down, but gestures like this remind our crews that what they do matters and that our community sees them.

You all didn’t just drop off snacks… you delivered smiles, encouragement, and enough sugar to keep night shift functioning for at least another 12 hours. 🍪😂

Our crews work incredibly hard every single day to care for others, and being cared for in return is something we never take for granted. Thank you for helping make EMS Week special for the men and women of Marion County Rescue Squad.

From all of us at MCRS — thank you for supporting our EMS family, lifting morale, and reminding our crews they are appreciated more than they know. 💙

💛🥣 EMS Week is about more than lights and sirens… it’s about heart. And once again, the employees of Marion County Rescue Squad have shown just how big theirs truly is.

This week, our crews and staff came together to donate cereal boxes to help give back to the same community that continuously supports us every single day. After speaking with local organizations like the Hope Shelter, Stepping Stones, and area food pantries, one of the biggest requested needs was something many of us see as simple — cereal.

Something as small as a box of breakfast food can make a huge difference for families, children, and individuals in need. ❤️

To encourage donations, additional raffle tickets were given for every full-size cereal box donated. But what means the most is seeing our employees step up without hesitation to help neighbors in our community. Whether it was one box or twenty, every donation represents kindness, compassion, and the true spirit of EMS.

We are incredibly proud of our Marion County Rescue Squad family for always finding ways to serve others — not only during emergencies, but in everyday life too.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this community drive such a success during EMS Week. Your generosity will help put food on tables and smiles on faces throughout Marion County. 🥣💙🚑

☮️ 💙🚑 Peace • Love • EMS 🚑💙☮️

EMS Week at Marion County Rescue Squad has officially been powered by tie-dye shirts, caffeine, snacks, questionable dance moves in the bay, and just a tiny bit of chaos. 🌈😂

Our crews took time out of their busy shifts to show off their colorful tie-dye creations, attend the Three Rivers Parade, and snap some fun pictures together along the way. Because apparently if EMS crews are given matching shirts and a camera, chaos and photo shoots are guaranteed. 📸🚑

From laughing together between calls to making memories during the madness, this week has been a reminder that EMS is more than a job — it’s one big family that always makes it work. 💙

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to the West Virginia State Police and the Devault Family Business for helping keep our crews fed this week with their generous food donations. Your kindness and support truly mean so much to all of us.

To our employees:Thank you for showing up every day ready to help this community — even running on little sleep, gas station caffeine, and pure determination. Thank you for the laughs, the teamwork, the dedication, and for always finding a way to make hard days a little brighter.

Peace, Love & EMS Week at MCRS ☮️💛🚑

Today, we want to give a very special thank you to the Marion County WV Sheriff's Office for stopping by and providing pizza for our staff. We truly are fortunate in Marion County to have such a strong relationship between our first responder agencies. The teamwork, support, and friendships between EMS and law enforcement mean so much to our crews, and we are thankful every day to work alongside people who care deeply about both this community and each other.

A huge thank you as well to MVB Bank Inc. for the incredible charcuterie boards for our staff. MVB continues to be one of our trusted community partners, always supporting Marion County Rescue Squad and the work our crews do throughout the county. Their kindness and continued support never go unnoticed.

And of course, thank you to Westside McDonald’s for providing breakfast for our crews. Westside McDonald’s has always been there anytime a first responder needs something, and their constant support of EMS, law enforcement, fire departments, and our community is something we truly appreciate.

We are incredibly thankful for the support shown to our staff not just during EMS Week, but all year long. Marion County truly has an amazing community behind its first responders. 💛

Thank you all so much!!!
