National Police Week

Today we recognize Fairmount Town Marshal James Payne, End of Watch: November 26, 1903.

Marshal Payne served our community at a time when law enforcement was dangerous and uncertain, yet he stood watch for the safety of others. His sacrifice more than a century ago is still part of the foundation of our department today.

We remember his courage. We honor his service. We will never forget.
