Friday was the Christmas Party at The Flint Senior Center. Seniors piled into the center's cafeteria and had a delicious buffet of all kinds of yummy food including a beautiful charcuterie board. Chris Bianci provided the music and the seniors danced and celebrated the holiday. 🎄
Thank you to Mayor Paul Coogan and Rep. Carole Fiola for stopping in and visiting with our seniors.
Don't forget the Flint Senior Center Christmas Party is today!! Doors open at 3:30pm. Come one, come all 😁

The holiday season can be a difficult time for many. Here is a gentle reminder to set boundaries, take breaks, and put your mental health first.
Schedules will change on Monday, December 19, 2022. There are no major service changes to any routes, however some of the route times have been changed. Please check your route schedule before traveling.

The Niagara-Maplewood Senior Center, had their Karaoke Lunch/Christmas Party this afternoon. Prizes were won, dancing was done and there was lots of singing and fun. 🎅🦌🎄

We are so sad to announce that the Fall River Children's Parade is CANCELLED due to inclement weather. We hope to see you next year and best wishes to you during this holiday season!
We cannot reschedule due to logistics as well as scheduling and availability of our performers and participants.
Please NOTE...Join us tomorrow for our FREE Christmas Celebration from 12:00 - 3:00 PM at our 45 Rock Street location. We will have face painting, caricatures, train rides, a photo booth, arts and crafts, raffles, and a petting zoo.
Join us as we "flip the switch" on the holiday season with a Tree Lighting Celebration! On December 1st 4:30-6:30pm, stop by Fall River Government Center for holiday activities, free cocoa and performances from local musicians and dancers. Still need a photo for your Christmas card? Santa will be at City Hall visiting with kids and giving out presents! You won't want to miss this night of festive fun.

You may qualify for our forgiveness program.

During each snow storm, the Mayor's Office receives calls from elderly and disabled residents who need help with shoveling. Unfortunately, we often do not have enough volunteers to meet the demand. Please, share or sign-up for our stand-by volunteer list for this season's snow removal. Signing up is NOT a commitment, we will only contact you if there is a need and you can sign up to only help residents in your neighborhood. The Fall River Council On Aging will be marching in the Children's Holiday Parade this year. This will be our first year and we are looking forward to it. If any Fall River seniors would like to march with us this Saturday and pass out candy to the children along the parade route, please email Jen at [email protected] for more info.

Yesterday was the Fall River Senior Center Luncheons. 200 Fall River seniors piled in to our four senior centers for a delicious Turkey dinner with all the fixings. The Fall River Council On Aging sponsored the luncheons and had Boston Market cater the event.
Mayor Paul Coogan stopped in all four centers to visit with the seniors and wish them all a Happy, Healthy and Safe Thanksgiving.
Thank you to Tess Curran Fall River Director of Health & Human Services for popping over to the South Main Senior Center to visit with the seniors and help with raffles and serve the delicious Turkey dinner.

SRTA Announces “Try Transit” for the Holiday Season
Beginning November 25th through December 31st SRTA’s bus and paratransit services will be free to all thanks to a grant included in the state budget and awarded by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
