On May 8th, we celebrated our three JP Mom graduates at an event on our campus. Key people in their journey here shared some words - one of them being Megan Thompson, the Family Services Coach who had walked alongside all three of our graduates during their time at JP - for some, 6 years of coaching (and friendship).
“As your coach, I have had the privilege of witnessing your growth firsthand. I’ve seen your strength, your grit, your humor, your compassion, and your refusal to give up.
I have watched each of you become more confident as leaders and as women. Thank you for trusting me to walk, cry, and laugh alongside you. It truly has been an honor to be a small part of your lives.
This graduation is not the end of your story. It is proof that you are capable of more than even you may have believed when this journey began.
So tonight, we celebrate your achievement. Long after tonight, your degrees will hang on the wall. But the greater legacy may be the example you’ve set — teaching your children that circumstances do not define potential, and that perseverance can change the course of a family for generations.
I hope you truly take a moment to feel proud of yourselves. Not just for finishing your degrees, but for everything it took to get here.
Congratulations, Selah, Maia, and Cherrie. You have earned every moment of this celebration.”
