"We have so many students that are doing the best they can to show up every single day with incredible hurdles to get there and incredible hurdles to overcome just to be in class in the moment, trying to learn." - Dr. Carrie Brimhall, President of Minnesota State Community and Technical College - M State

We were honored to have Dr. Carrie Brimhall join us earlier in October for our Autumn Evening out event. She joined Dr. Angela Mathers and Meuri Picazo as we talked about education, childcare, and community.

She shared with us some wonderful thoughts on the college journey for student parents, women supporting women professionally, and how vulnerability can connect us and allow us to move mountains.

You can listen to the full panel on our Youtube channel. Find the link below in the comments.

A little pumpkin painting, a shared meal, and time together. 🎃 Our JP families gathered for an evening of creativity, laughter, and connection at our Pumpkin Painting event!

Community is at the heart of Jeremiah Program, and these moments of gathering are just one of the many ways we celebrate the connections that make our JP community so special. From colorful pumpkins to memories made around the table, it was a wonderful evening of families coming together. 💜

Thank you to our great pumpkin donors who helped to make this event possible: Anne Pyle, Sister Sharon of the Presentation Sisters, Lost in the Valley Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch, and Dani and Klara Helfenstein.

There is power in community. Meuri, a determined JP Mom, brought that power to life as she shared a piece of her personal story and what the JP sisterhood means to her. Her beautifully shared words offered inspiration and perspective.

Earlier this month at our Autumn Evening Out event, our panel gathered to shine a light on community and childcare, two things foundational to a mom’s ability to pursue higher education, enter the workforce, and build a future for her family.

Three powerful perspectives were shared by Dr. Angela Mathers, CBT Vice Chair; Dr. Carrie Brimhall, President of Minnesota State Community and Technical College; and Meuri Picazo, F-M JP Mom.

You can listen to more of Meuri's story and from the other panel members on our Youtube page. Find the link in the comments below.

🎉 Help us celebrate Rose and three wonderful years at JP! 🥳🏡

"Three years of expertise, dedication, compassion, and hard work, plus a great sense of humor and stories that never fail to brighten our days!

As our Housing Manager at JP Fargo-Moorhead, Rose partners with moms to address their housing needs throughout their JP journey and beyond graduation, supporting their transition into the workforce with stable, affordable housing.

Working alongside JP’s national housing team and fellow campus Housing Managers, Rose has helped shape a robust program, with Fargo’s housing becoming a model for other campuses. At the heart of this work is her commitment to partnering with moms as they build stability for their families and pursue their dreams.

Rose, thank you for the expertise, heart, and laughter you bring to our campus and to your partnership with JP moms. We’re so lucky to have you on our team!" - Laetitia Mizero Hellerud, Executive Director
