❤️ WHEN OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS HELP, THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY ANSWERS THE CALL! ❤️

We have some incredible news to share!

The AGC New Mexico Board of Directors has approved a generous $2,500 contribution to support flood recovery efforts right here in San Juan County! 🙌

As floodwaters recede, our neighbors are facing the overwhelming task of cleaning up, drying out, and rebuilding. This contribution will help purchase much-needed equipment, including pressure washers, wet/dry vacuums, and industrial floor blowers, to make available to flood-impacted families and businesses at no charge.

📢 We will share an update as soon as the new equipment arrives and is available for use! Please keep an eye on our page for availability and information on how to request equipment.

But AGC New Mexico isn't stopping there!

They're also reaching out to their statewide network of contractors, suppliers, and industry partners to encourage additional equipment donations and loans to help our community recover.

💪 This is what being part of the construction industry is all about. We don't just build communities — we show up when they need us most.

🚨 FLOOD CLEANUP ASSISTANCE: TRASH PUMP LOAN PROGRAM 🚨

As our community continues cleanup and recovery efforts, Cooper Fire Protection Services is making six gas powered trash pump setups available at no charge to people impacted by flooding in San Juan County New Mexico.

Each pump comes complete with suction and discharge hoses, ready to help remove water from flooded areas.

Here's how the program works:
• We will deliver the pump to your location.
• You use it for your cleanup needs.
• When you're finished, we'll pick it up and deliver it to the next person in line.

Pumps are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We ask that everyone return them as soon as their work is complete so we can help as many neighbors as possible.

Our community has always been at its best when neighbors help neighbors. We're grateful to have the equipment and the opportunity to do our part.

🥶 Cold Weather Is Coming… and Your Fire Sprinkler System Has Opinions About It.

Spoiler: It hates freezing temperatures.

Frozen sprinkler pipes don’t just get grumpy—they can freeze, burst, and turn your building into an indoor swimming pool. And trust us… that’s not the kind of water feature anyone wants. 💦😂

Before Mother Nature turns the thermostat to rude:

❄️ Protect sprinkler piping in areas that can freeze
🔥 Keep spaces containing sprinkler components adequately heated
👀 Pay special attention to garages, warehouses, attics, exterior walls, and other cold areas

Because “we’ll deal with it when it freezes” is less of a maintenance plan and more of a future insurance claim. 😬

And while we have your attention…

🔋 CHANGE THE BATTERIES IN YOUR SMOKE & CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS.

That little chirp… chirp… chirp at 2:00 a.m.?

That’s not background noise. That’s your detector judging your life choices. 😂

Test your detectors. Change the batteries. Check their age.

And remember: If removing the battery is your solution to the chirping, you have misunderstood the assignment. 😉

A few minutes of prevention now can save you from a very expensive “Well… that escalated quickly” later.

25 years ago tonight, people went to bed expecting tomorrow to be just another day.

✈️ 246 people prepared for their morning flights.
🏢 2,606 people prepared for another day at work.
🚒 343 firefighters prepared for their shifts.
🚔 60 police officers prepared for patrol.
🚑 8 paramedics prepared for another day of saving lives.

None of them knew what September 11, 2001 would bring.

In a single moment, life can change forever.

So tonight, as you prepare for tomorrow, kiss the people you love. Hug them a little longer. Snuggle a little tighter. Say the words you’ve been meaning to say. ❤️

Slow down.

Appreciate the ordinary moments we so easily rush past—the conversations, the laughter, the hugs, the people sitting beside you.

Hold the door. Give the compliment. Make the phone call. Help someone. Choose kindness. 🇺🇸

Because the “little things” really aren’t little at all.
