📚🦁 It really pays to read!

Our Summer Reading Challenge readers took their reading all the way to Detroit Lions Training Camp!
After spending the summer reading, tracking their minutes and working toward prizes, some of our readers and their families were rewarded with an unforgettable day at Training Camp.

Our community showed up for Black Business Month at GCFPL, and the room was full of conversations, resources, and people supporting one another.

Big thank you to our panelists Dre Hood, Barry Fisher, and Tarnesa Tucker/ Nurse T for sharing with us, Darrell Brown for keeping the conversation moving as our MC, and all of our vendors who came out and served our community.

📚 Listening. Reflecting. Building what’s next.

Over the past several months, the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library has been intentional about listening to Flint through community conversations and surveys, welcoming our newest Executive Director, Desmond London, and now bringing those voices together to shape our strategic plan.

On Monday, staff, Board, and Friends representatives gathered with MCLS - Midwest Collaborative for Library Services MCLS Library Consultant Jan Davidson for a meaningful day of visioning and planning.

This is about more than creating a plan. It’s about creating a stronger future for YOUR library and finding new ways to serve Flint 💙
