Our Children's Department is looking for a new member! Are you the perfect person for the job?

This opening is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position at our Florence branch. A Children's Library Associate provides library services and materials to children, caregivers, families, and partner organizations. Providing these services can look like working the desk and helping people find what they're looking for, planning and facilitating children's programs, and so much more.

"Ready or Not" meets a trip to the craft store? Sign us up!

Ruth is trapped. She’s stuck in her hometown, stuck in the closet, and stuck living paycheck to paycheck. After her manager finds out that she lives with her girlfriend, Ruth is fired from her job at a craft store. In an act of revenge, Ruth attempts to shoplift some yarn but is caught red-handed by a cashier. Instead of calling the police, the employees lock her in the store—and attack her. As Ruth fights for her life, she plunges deeper into the tangled web of the cult behind the craft store, and the terrible secret they are hiding that threatens not only her, but the entire town.

One of our favorite traditions this time of year is telling and reading scary (and not-so-scary) stories 👻 Join us on Thursday, October 29, for our Library Storytelling Spooktacular, a Halloween storytelling event for toddlers to teens. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
