Adults are invited to bring a craft of choice and enjoy working on your project while socializing with other adult crafters. 🧶🎨🖌️The library will provide coloring pages for those that do not have a craft to bring. This program will be at Folsom Public Library in the Library Meeting Room on Saturday September 12 from 2-4pm.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is an early literacy program that encourages all families and caregivers to read at least 1,000 books with their young children before they start kindergarten. Reading to young children builds vocabulary, language skills, and helps prepare them with the skills they need for kindergarten. Sign up today at http://folsom.beanstack.org 📚

The September pick of the Adults Read YA Book Club is Shadow Reaper by Lynette Noni! The Adults Read YA Book Club is a book club for adults who are interested in reading and discussing Young Adult Books.

Join us at Folsom Barnes & Noble Kitchen in the Palladio shopping center for our book discussion, on September 15 at 6 p.m.. This book is available through the Folsom Public Library.

Exciting improvements are underway at the Folsom Public Library!

Beginning this week, the City of Folsom is replacing the library’s original low-slope roof with a new weatherproof roofing system designed to help protect the building for years to come. The project is expected to take up to 10 weeks, with completion anticipated in October 2026. This project is funded through the Facility Rehab Fund.

Good news: The library will remain open throughout construction! Visitors may hear construction noise during work hours, and because crews will work in sections, activity will shift to different areas of the library as the project progresses. Some days may be quieter than others.

Thank you for your patience as we make this important investment in the Folsom Public Library. We’re excited to keep this community space protected and welcoming for many years to come!

The Folsom Public Library will host a community blood drive in partnership with Vitalant on Tuesday, August 18, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Blood donations are urgently needed and can save lives! The blood drive will be held at the Folsom Public Library, 411 Stafford Street.

Each blood drive participant will receive a voucher for two free tickets to a Sacramento River Cats baseball game! Donors will be able to choose which game they would like to attend. Register online at vitalant.org or call 877-258-4825 and reference blood drive code SMFD327. Walk-ins are welcome and will be accommodated if space allows.

The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge ends on July 31! Visit the Folsom Public Library now to turn in your Summer Reading Bookmark or show us your Beanstack account to earn your prizes! Kids and teens completing the challenge win a free book, a book bag, and an entry into a drawing for a $100 gift card. Adults who read five books earn a book bag and an entry into the drawing. ☀️⛱️
