What if smaller meant more? ❤️

More time to ask questions.
More opportunities to participate.
More meaningful conversations.
More room to go deeper.

At Compass, small class sizes and a close-knit community create a different kind of learning environment.

Teachers know their students, and students know their teachers and classmates. That sense of connection makes it possible to dig deeper into ideas, follow curiosity, have thoughtful conversations, and spend more time exploring the things that truly spark interest.

Here, students aren’t just moving from one assignment to the next. They’re known, challenged, supported and connected.

And you can feel that difference when you walk through our doors.

Come experience the Compass community for yourself this fall!

Our magical Compass staff brings curiosity, creativity, expertise and a whole lot of heart to school every day.

They know their students, believe in their potential, and create learning experiences that make kids want to show up and engage.

We’re pretty lucky to have this crew! 🙌❤️

Kyle’s middle school students recently explored energy conservation by studying the movement of a pendulum.

As the pendulum swings, students can actually see energy changing forms. At the highest point, the pendulum has the most potential energy because of its height. As it swings downward, that energy transforms into kinetic energy, or motion. At the lowest point, it’s moving the fastest. Then the process reverses as it swings back up. 🔄

It’s one thing to read about energy in a textbook. It’s another to watch it happen, measure it and figure out why.

We love this kind of hands-on, curiosity-driven learning that makes science come alive. 💙

Come discover why Compass students LOVE SCHOOL. ❤️

10/09/2026

High school should be about more than earning credits and checking boxes. It should help students discover their strengths, explore their interests and build a plan for life after graduation.

At Compass, students get the support and flexibility to make their high school experience their own. Through Futures Planning, they explore career and college pathways and identify the experiences and skills they need to reach their goals.

They can also take learning beyond the classroom through concurrent enrollment opportunities, earning college credit while still in high school, and internships that connect students with real-world workplaces and professionals.

And the academic results are strong, too. In 2026, Compass high school students outperformed both Poudre School District and Colorado state averages on the PSAT 9 and PSAT 10, while scoring well above the state average on the SAT.

But the best way to understand Compass is to experience it for yourself. 👀

Come see what makes Compass different and why our students LOVE SCHOOL. ❤️

At Compass, the community is our classroom.🌎

Our students are regularly hopping on buses with their teachers, making their way through town to learn alongside local businesses, organizations, and community partners. It’s hands-on, real, and honestly…a lot more fun than sitting at a desk all day.

As early as 6th grade, students are learning how to:
🚌 Navigate the city of Fort Collins together
🤝 Engage respectfully with our AWESOME Transfort bus drivers and community members
🧭 Build confidence exploring their own town
💬 Represent themselves—and Compass—with integrity

It’s not just a field trip—it’s real life.

Because knowing how to move through your community, interact with people, and feel confident doing it? That’s a skill you carry forever.

Speaking of excelling, in 2026, Compass high school students outperformed both Poudre School District and Colorado state averages on the PSAT 9 and PSAT 10, while scoring well above the state average on the SAT.
