and I are here at the largest Pride Parade 🏳️‍🌈 between San Francisco and Los Angeles, right here in Fresno!

I will never stop fighting for our vulnerable and marginalized communities in Fresno and throughout the Central Valley.

The recent attacks on our LGBTQ brothers and sisters, right here in Fresno, are not lost on us.

We must STAND UP AGAINST those who seek to role back our civil rights/liberties by decades. Enough is enough.

Happy Pride Fresno!!!!! 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍🌈

Thank you to KSEE24 News and Emily Erwin for shedding light on this underreported issue across California.

I was happy to be a part of this story. My bill, The SNIP ACT (AB 2010) is currently making its way through the legislature and we are hopeful it will soon become law!

It will expand critical access to high-quality, high-volume Spay and Neuter Services.

June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, a national campaign held every June, aiming to educate the public on gun violence and its impact.

A key element is the Wear Orange movement, encouraging people to wear orange as a symbol of remembrance for victims, support for survivors, and advocacy for gun violence prevention. I was wearing my orange today because I know first-hand the impacts of gun violence. It's also important to bring awareness about this issue when we can.

The Wear Orange campaign began in memory of Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old who was fatally shot in January 2013. On this day, supporters and advocates for gun violence prevention across the U.S. wear orange to commemorate the victims of gun violence and demonstrate solidarity for the gun safety movement.

Gun Violence Awareness Day is June 5, 2026

June is both National and California Dairy Month, a celebration of the dairy industry and the delicious products it produces. California is the #1 Dairy Producer in the United States, and has been since the early 1990s.

The industry supports over 200,000 jobs and contributes more than $20 billion dollars annually to the state's economy.

helped raise the pride flag 🏳️‍🌈 this week at the 6th annual Fresno City College Pride Flag Raising Ceremony!

I want to thank everyone at Fresno City College, Dr. Carole Goldsmith, the students, and all the supporters who were there with us.

This annual event celebrates our LGBTQ community.

It recognizes the hard work, dedication, and the willingness of those community leaders who have stood up for what’s right.

This ceremony is a beacon of hope for our Central Valley and serves as a reminder to us all, that the LGBTQ community is deserving of acceptance, respect, and equal rights.

This past year, over 500 anti-LGBTQ+ bills were passed nationwide. June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The far-reaching effect that LGBTQIA people, activists, and allies have had on history in the United States and worldwide is vital to humanity.

June was chosen as Pride Month to remember protests by members of the LGBTQ+ community in New York City on June 28, 1969, in response to a police raid at the Stonewall Inn.
