Many thanks to our friends at Queen of Peace Catholic Community Gainesville, FL for their contributions of over 1000 pounds of food, baby supplies and toiletries to help those less fortunate in our community. These donations were a part of their Christmas in July giving!

Don't Forget, tonight is the night!

School's out for the summer, and for many that means family fun, vacations, and great memories. But did you know that for some of your neighbors, a summer in Gainesville means reduced work shifts, less frequent public transportation service, and finding replacements for school meals?

Even here at Catholic Charities, summer can be a slump. On average, charitable giving declines by about 10% over the summer months. For us, that means trying to meet greater need with less resources.

But you can help!

We'll be hosting a fundraiser through McAlister's Deli on Newberry Rd on Tuesday, July 21, from 4 - 9 PM. It's simple - just show up, mention Catholic Charities when you order, and 20% of the proceeds will be donated towards the cause.

Mark your calendar, get your iced tea fix, and help Gainesville families in need.
