Keep Hall Beautiful

Keep Hall Beautiful KHB works to foster a healthy and balanced community. All of these projects could not happen without our volunteers and our members.

Keep Hall Beautiful is a non-profit, 501(c)3 and serves as the local certified affiliate of the national Keep America Beautiful system, as well as a state affiliate with Keep Georgia Beautiful. A community we want our kids to grow up in, where businesses want to develop, to be a flourishing community that attracts visitors, & a community where we are proactively environmentally friendly. KHB is de

dicated to educating citizens about environmental stewardship, providing both traditional and non-traditional recycling opportunities, developing and fostering collaborative relationships with local and surrounding area organizations who support similar goals and missions, as well as providing a much needed community service program which is focused on local roadside clean-ups as well as illegal dumpsite removal. Through our volunteer projects, citizens of Hall County can be involved in community clean-ups, beautification efforts, recycling days, & special events.

In celebration of National Flip-Flop Day, why not purchase a new pair of eco-friendly flip flops to wear this summer? Try looking for shoes made from recovered materials (e.g., recycled plastic, scrap tires or even used wine corks) and products that are recyclable at the end of their life.

Need suggestions? Check out this curated list of 10 Sustainable Brands Crafting Flip-Flops from SustainablyChic™ .

Some brands offer take-back programs to recycle flip flops. When replacing an old pair of shoes, check the company's website to see if they offer recycling for shoes. Please don't place flip-flops in your recycling bin or cart.

The environment needs pollinators! Native plants are an excellent choice to attract pollinators with their attractive flowers and sweet nectar. There are over 500 native species of pollinators in Georgia, let's give them a snack! Plant any of the below to build a pollinator garden, or establish a native corner of your yard where some of these plants may already grow.

Data from this year's Litter Study from Keep America Beautiful points to a marked decrease in litter across the country! This is amazing news!

Keep Hall Beautiful has been dedicated to the beautification of our community since the 1970s, and that includes litter pick up and abatement strategies. By encouraging recycling, promoting solutions for common litter issues, learning how to divert waste, and sponsoring beautification efforts, we show folks in our community how they can make real change happen.
