The City of Gardiner is now issuing absentee ballots for the November 7, 2023 election. Request a ballot by completing an Absentee Ballot Application at city hall. Applications are also available on the City of Gardiner’s website.

You may also choose to vote in person at City Hall.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 4pm and the deadline to return the ballot is November 7, 2023 at 8pm

Tuesday, June 13th is an opportunity for the folks in to have their voice heard about the school budget for MSAD 11. Polls are open from 8:00AM-8:00PM at Boys & Girls Clubs of Kennebec Valley Sandra M. Prescott Clubhouse.

Not registered to vote, yet? No problem! In Maine, you can register to vote at the polls by providing a photo ID and proof of residency.

Maine Democrats are continuing the fight to protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community here in Maine. We look forward to celebrating with LGBTQ+ Mainers, including our friends, families, and neighbors, at events all across the state.

The Dems are collecting coats, boots, and non- perishable food items to benefit Addies Attic at Bridging the Gap and Chrysalis Place. Drop off donations this Saturday, February 4th at 242 Water Street from 10-2. Thank you for helping your community this winter!

What do headphones, shoes, winter hats, crayons, and water bottles have in common? They were just some of the items recently donated by the Gardiner Dems to River View Community School and Laura E Richards School. Thanks to everyone who support this effort- the schools were greatly appreciative of the items for their students and classrooms!

Interested in helping your neighbors and community this winter (and beyond)? Chrysalis Place, an all volunteer organization attempting to ease the problem of food insecurity among the
residents of Gardiner, West Gardiner, Farmingdale, Randolph, Pittston and Chelsea, is looking for volunteers. Sign up to help on an ongoing basis or for special projects by calling Bev LaPlante at 207-582-5507.

The Gardiner Dems are collecting school supplies for our local elementary schools. We plan to donate them mid September.
More information on a firm collection date and location will follow, but if you're back to school shopping please consider purchasing supplies for donation!

-Glue sticks
-Crayons
-Colored pencils
-Washable markers
-Folders
-Children’s headphones
-New children’s winter hats, gloves or mittens
-New children’s sneakers
