UPDATE:

Many of you have asked for an update on this cat. He sustained grave injuries from being trapped in the fence. The details are graphic, so we will not share them here.

In addition to his extensive injuries and extreme distress, several other factors led to the conclusion that the kindest thing we could do was have him humanely euthanized. All of these decisions were made with the guidance of a veterinarian.

Information obtained from neighbors indicates that this cat had been a neighborhood stray for a considerable amount of time and was fearful of humans. He was scanned for a microchip and did not have one. Regardless, this is never the ending we hope for.

ORIGINAL POST:

We are attempting to locate the owner (if any) of this cat. He was stuck in a fence in the Spring Hill neighborhood and is severely injured. If he is yours, please contact us immediately. 316-794-2051 or 911.

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country with courage and dedication. Their sacrifice and commitment protect the freedoms we all cherish.

We’re especially proud to recognize the veterans among our own who continue to serve our community with the same integrity and devotion they showed in a different uniform.

From all of us at the Goddard Police Department, thank you to every veteran for your service and sacrifice!
